Marc Beaudin is a poet (The Moon Cracks Open: A Field Guide to the Birds and Other Poems, plus several chapbooks), novelist (A Handful of Dust) and playwright (Frankenstein, Inc., Little Shop of Whores, Nice Shoes, etc.), and the poetry editor of CounterPunch‘s Poets Basement. His poetry has been published in numerous journals including Watershed, Avocet and The MacGuffin, and his plays have been produced at venues in Michigan, Minnesota and Montana.
He performs his poetry and spoken word at bars, cafes and bookstores across the country, either solo or with his poetry band Remington Streamliner. His former band, Miscellaneous Jones, was invited to perform at many festivals, benefits and special events in Michigan. He has been a featured performer on several radio programs and podcasts, and was named the Best Poet of the Tri-Cities by Interlude Magazine.
